Work has continued with a very rapid pace. The ceilings of all the three laboratories and the adjacent rooms are all in place.
At the other end of the new wing, two groups of workers are working 'simultaneously'. One group is erecting the walls of the five new class rooms while the second group of workers are removing two levels of stones to make room for the new ceiling. After the singing of the National Anthem, Fr Dionisio Mintoff, Director of The Peace Lab read a paper about the need that children will be given good example and sound education that will be relevant to the times we live in. He also spoke about the suffering that children endure especially where there are situations of tension in the family caused by arguments and fights and even worse when the parents separate. Fr Mintoff spoke about the frustration, disillusionment and heartache experienced by those children who have to move from house to house after the separation of their parents. He therefore appealed to the politicians, and to the Commissioner for Children to strengthen their efforts and to work vigorously in favour of the family.
