As part of our drive for more creative lessons, a number of teachers are introducing new methods of lessons, where more workshops, discussions, group work and research is done during the actual lesson.
Even our Arts Department has embarked on projects using medium other than pen, brushes and paper. During last week, our 4th Formers who study Art as an option subject had specific lessons and workshops with clay.
Their first assignment was to work on a common project, practically a vase, assigned by the teacher. Than they were asked to extend it to their own liking, giving it a personal touch. The third step was to create a sculpture, colour it and make it ready to be glazed.
It is very evident that some of our students have an artistic eye and they are very promising.
