Celebrating 75 years of St Michael School

It was the 4th November 1946 when St Michael School opened its doors to welcome its first students.  Today, 75 years on we celebrated this special occasion together.  At 09:30 his Excellency Mons Charles J Scicluna together with a number of priests, many of them ex teachers and students, celebrated mass for all the staff, students and guests to commemorate such an important event for our School.  The mass which was animated by the school band was held in the ground.

During mass a number of students acted a scene from the play ‘Irridha Skola Specjali’.  This play has been written by Mr Robert Aloisio purposely for this special occasion.  It tells the story of how Mr Anthony Agius dreamt and fulfilled his dream to open a school dedicated to St Michael.

Heartfelt thanks to all those who in a way or another made this day a memorable one.

We are grateful to our Lord for all the blessings bestowed on our school through the years, and we praise Him for all the members of staff, students, parents and friends who were connected to the school during these 75 years.
