On Wednesday, 3rd July our staff gathered at Pembroke MUSEUM for a get together. The morning kicked off with a spiritual song and a reflection on the ‘Camino de Santiago de Compostela’ which was compared to our everyday life…a walk which like the ‘camino’ has its ups and downs.
Afterwards, the Headmaster thanked everyone for the hard work at school. In particular, he thanked Mr Paul Deguara, who shall be retiring from work this year after 42 years of continuous service to the school. On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Administrative Team and all the staff, he presented a gift to Mr Deguara, who also cut a cake prepared purposely for the occassion.
It was then time to start preparing the food. Some of the staff prepared the salads while a number of staff prepared the barbeque. Others gathered together for a chat.
At 12.30 everyone gathered to eat a delicious lunch of salads and a selection of meat. After a refreshing cup of ice-cream, the Headmaster thanked those teachers whose contract with the school came to an end. Finally he wished a happy and restful summer holidays to everyone!
